February Updates - Modules Unraveled

February was a good month!

Modules Unraveled Podcast

Ten episodes already! Man, is time flying by. The February episodes include:

This Sunday, I'll be talking with Richard Lyon about using SASS with drupal, and how his Sassy module makes it easier to write CSS for your Drupal site.

Brand New Server!

I moved to a new server at the end of the month (finally off of a shared host! Woo-Hoo!!!) This means that there should be no more outages like I was experiencing from time to time. I decided to move to a Media Temple (dv) which is a lot of fun. I've never managed a server before, so I'm learning a lot! I plan on putting together some videos covering Media Temple and my experience with them. If that's something you'd be interested in reply to this email, or let me know via my contact form.

Ads are coming to Modules Unraveled

Before you bring out the pitchforks and gallows, please read the following:

I'm beginning to look for advertisers. In the few short months since the launch of Modules Unraveled, I've grown to over 5,600 unique visitors per month, peaking at just over 500 unique visitors in one day! Clearly people are interested in my content, and I'm trying to find ways to support myself so that I can justify spending time creating more Drupal videos and podcasts. Some people have been generous enough to make a donation, but frankly, it's not even close to covering the cost of my server alone. So, I'm going to start looking at other ways to support my work.

I'm going to be very selective about who/what I advertise. I've taken a lot of pride in the way I've been able to keep the site clean. I go to a lot of websites that have advertisements everywhere, and it really annoys me. So, I'm not about to do that to you. With that in mind, if you would like to advertise on Modules Unraveled, or know of a service that you would recommend, and have seen ads for on another site, please contact me and I'll listen to your suggestions.

That's all for now, keep the feedback coming!
